VASCA Magazine aims to inform patients, carers and healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, trainee specialists...) about the latest developments in the diagnosis, treatment and research of vascular anomalies. But the magazine goes further, as it also showcases the work of the seven patient organisations in the VASCA-WG and the positive role of the VASCA-WG and VASCERN in improving cross-border care and standards of care for vascular anomalies and vascular disease.

This magazine brings together scientific articles from VASCA WG healthcare professionals and VASCERN experts, as well as testimonials from patient members of the various VASCA WG patient organisations. It also provides a description of the work of VASCERN and the VASCA WG. It explains the results of the group, such as the clinical management patient pathways, the educational tools and the case discussions platform. And many other articles related to ERNs (European Reference Networks) and patient support. The articles, interviews and testimonials help readers to understand the challenges and successes of the vascular anomalies community.

VASCA Magazine is an initiative of the European Patient Advocacy Group (ePAG) members of the VASCA WG. It has been made possible by the financial support of VASCERN through its EU co-funding, the work of the passionate ePAGs and the contributions of the VASCERN Coordination Team and the authors.

The first issue was published in April 2021 and we are proud to launch a new issue in May 2024. This English-language digital publication is available for download from the patient organisation websites and from the VASCERN website.
